What to Expect

A Place for Worship

The primary reason we meet together is to focus our attention on God, giving Him our praise, honor, and glory.  Each Sunday is a special time of spiritual refreshment.  It is a time when we remember Jesus, and rededicate ourselves to his principles.

When you join us for worship on either Sunday morning or evening, you can join with us as we sing songs, pray to God, hear a lesson from His word, and remember Christ's sacrifice in the Lord's Supper.  The members at Jackson Heights will have an opportunity to give of our means to support the work of the church, but as visitors we will not solicit your money.

On Wednesday nights at the conclusion of our bible studies, we come together for a short devotional where we sing, pray and hear a brief message from the Bible.

A Place for Learning

To us, studying the Bible is vital, because it not only instructs us intellectually, but also guides us spiritually.  We believe it and accept it as God's Word.  We believe it is a Book that is alive and relevant to life today.  You will find our many class offerings, which change quarterly, will not only enhance your Bible knowledge but will provide practical applications you can use daily.

We offer personal studies as well.  It is always our aim to learn what the Bible teaches on a topic so that we can apply it to our lives.

We also provide access to lessons on a variety of Bible topics through cassette tapes.  We record lessons from Gospel meetings and sermons and provide them to both members and non-members for no charge.

A Place for Service

Just as Jesus came "not to be ministered unto but to minister", we accept our duty to reach out in service to others, both within the church family and outside our fellowship-both collectively and individually.  We look forward to serving you, and helping you to serve.

A Place for Outreach

We are an evangelistic church.  We believe in the great commission (Matthew 28:18-20) and our responsibility to take the gospel all over the world.  We support both local, as well as foreign evangelism.  And we offer you the opportunity to become active in our outreach efforts.

We currently support the preaching of the gospel in other parts of the US (Alabama, Virginia) and the world (Japan, Mexico, and South Africa).  Those we support send us reports on the work that are posted for all members to read.  We hear of their challenges, their successes, and the impact the gospel has on the lives of those that hear it proclaimed.

A Place for Fellowship

There is nothing that compares to the joy of Christian fellowship.  We consider each other brothers and sisters.  Close ties are developed between the members of our church family, where bonds of concern, encouragement, and genuine commitment to one another are developed.  Best of all, this circle of care is ever widening.  We'd love for it to include you too.
