2008 - Kingdom Living At Jackson Heights

Below is a summary of some of the 2008 Initiatives for the Jackson Heights church of Christ - talk to the elders about how you can get involved!

Communications -
Leader: Rufus Clifford 
1.  Maximize the impact of the electronic sign
2.  Maximize the use of email lists
3.  Implement and maximize the use of the telephone messaging system
4.  Coordinate content and maximize effectiveness of audio/visual resources
5.  Maximize effectiveness of the bulletin / website / classroom time to communicate information that encourages and motivates members to be personally involved
6.  Creating worship services that are more personal and motivational - Create a suggestion box for ideas

Hospitality -
Leader:  Lee Nicholson 
1.  Encourage people to coordinate ongoing individual hospitality efforts
2.  Encourage individual efforts that enhance friendships, interpersonal relationships among membership
3.  Greet guests at worship services
4.  Attention to needs of shut-ins

Encouragement -
Leader:  Charlie Norman
1.  Roll keeping and encouraging missing members
2.  Gather every Sunday night to go over the roll and send cards.  Make calls to missing members, members needing encouragement.  Need volunteers who will write cards

Evangelism -
Leader:  Bradley Dugger
1.  List / Coordinate teachers and contacts for Bible studies
2.  Develop an advertisement strategy for the church
3.  Teaching evangelism classes, "knowing" evangelism - example: evangelistic conversation starters
4.  Reaching the fallen away
5.  Identify and contact prospects, new move-ins to the area
6.  Work with a prayer group
