The Bible Way for
Worship
Something to shout
about!...
“Shout
joyfully to the Lord, all the earth. Serve the Lord with gladness; Come
before Him with joyful singing. Know that the Lord Himself is God; It is
He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the
sheep of His pasture”
(Psalm 100:1-3).
In
worship we gather to lift our praises to God in Heaven. He is worthy to
be honored and glorified. All the earth is implored to recognize and
magnify the one, true and living God.
Our
worship is vain if we do not serve the Lord and serve Him with gladness.
Our worship is but lip service if our lifestyle is foreign to the word
of God. Worship is meant as a loving response, an expression of love
outpouring from a way of life. Worship was never meant to cover-up or
gloss over sinful lives and rebellious attitudes.
We come
before God in singing. We worship Him by praising and teaching through
psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing out! Sing with your voices as
well as your hearts!
We
worship our Creator. God has created us. In His image He created us.
We’re not the product of chance or Evolutional Theory. We’re not the
product of our own power. We bear the fingerprints of God!
We
worship our Shepherd. We were all sheep that had gone astray, but our
merciful God sent His Son to call us back to the fold. Salvation is in
Him, alone. We need to shout about it!
